Even though Akon has not released an album since 2008, he continues to keep his hands in the music business as the executive who signed Lady Gaga and T-Pain. In addition to the current stars Akon signed, he recently inked a deal with Gospel rapper Mali Music.
Mali Music spoke about Akon giving him high praises stating, "He's a mogul. He's done so much and it's just a blessing that he was affected and impacted by the ministry and by the songs."By signing Mali Music, Konvict music CEO Akon expands his reach with artists that create music for gospel, pop and R&B genres. Mali Music's new album is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2012.
