The pair teamed up to make hit song 'Sexy Chick' (originally named 'Sexy B****') in 2009, but it didn't take long to come up with the goods. Explaining how the project came about, David said:

"We met and Akon was like, 'We need to work together.' So I said, 'Let's go the studio tonight. We don't wait.' He was like, 'That's crazy!'

"We went to the studio in London and we made 'Sexy B****' in one night." Guetta also revealed that 'Sexy Chick' almost didn't make his recent album 'One Love' because his record label already had enough songs to release. "In the morning, I sent an email to my record company, 'Stop everything! Stop everything!' I said, 'Listen, I've got the bomb.'" David told the NationalPost.
"And they were like, 'C'mon David, we have too many tracks already.' I was like, 'No, no, I don't care what you say, I need this to be on the album.'"
