Akon Perform In India: We already told you that hip-hop superstar Akon came to Mumbai earlier this year to work on the soundtrack of Shahrukh Khan's and Kareena Kapoor's new movie Ra.One, and now DH! can reveal that the "Sexy Chick" singer will sing in Hindi! We knew that Akon was a hit maker but we weren't aware of the fact that he's a talented polyglot! How impressive! We can't wait to hear Akon belt out a song in Hindi and we're sure fans across the globe are eager to hear the track!

When Akon came to Mumbai, Bollywood's biggest stars were ready to party B-town style! After partying with Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor at SRK's IPL kick-off party, the R&B superstar got down to business and hit the recording studio with music composer Aadesh Shrivastava.

There have been rumors that the singer will make an appearance in the movie but we think a track in Hindi is more than enough from the star! And the fact that the famous performer chooses to sing in Hindi will probably only increase his popularity in India, as if he needed it! Akon is not only taking over Bollywood, he can also call himself one of the kings of Facebook in India.

According to stats, Akon boasts approximately 500,000 fans in India, while B-town biggies like Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan are lagging behind! Way to go Akon, taking over the scene one step at a time!  While these B-town greats have a very high global following, the number of FB fans specifically from India are not as high as the number of Facebook fans that Akon has from India.
